L'affiche Cinemed 2026

Le noir et blanc a un pouvoir magique : rendre l’instant intemporel, ne pas l’abandonner au passé et pouvoir le revivre encore au présent. Ce n’est pas le temps perdu dont on part à la recherche mais le temps retrouvé ! Une insolente modernité se glisse dans les jeux d’ombre et de lumière.

Sur l’affiche de la 48^e édition du Cinemed, le noir et blanc irradiant de lumière fixe pour l’éternité un moment de joie empreint de pureté et d’innocence comme seule l’enfance peut en offrir, celui d’une danse flamenco partagée entre une grand-mère et sa petite-fille, complices et tendrement enlacées.

Dans le flamenco, le visage est le miroir de l’âme et l’expression des émotions. Le sourire qui illumine leurs visages et l’intensité du regard expriment bien toute la beauté et l’amour qui se transmettent entre les générations. Les mouvements de bras comme des gestes de défis semblent nous inviter à les rejoindre et à entrer dans la danse.

Dans le film Blancanieves dont est extraite la photo, le cinéaste espagnol Pablo Berger s’est permis toutes les audaces en revisitant le conte des frères Grimm : le transposer dans l’Andalousie des années 20, sans dialogues et en un noir et blanc somptueux.

Un réalisateur inclassable qui surprend de film en film et que nous aurons le plaisir de recevoir lors de la prochaine édition du festival qui se déroulera du 16 au 24 octobre à Montpellier.

Black and white has a magical power: it renders the moment timeless, refusing to consign it to the past and allowing us to relive it once more in the present. It is not lost time that we seek, but time regained! A bold modernity slips into the interplay of light and shadow.

On the poster for the 48th edition of Cinemed, the black and white, radiant with light, captures for eternity a moment of joy imbued with the purity and innocence that only childhood can offer: a flamenco dance shared between a grandmother and her granddaughter, close companions tenderly entwined.

In flamenco, the face is the mirror of the soul and the expression of emotions. The smile that lights up their faces and the intensity of their gaze perfectly convey all the beauty and love passed down through the generations.

The arm movements, like defiant gestures, seem to invite us to join them and take part in the dance.

In the film Blancanieves, from which this photograph is taken, the Spanish filmmaker Pablo Berger has taken every liberty in reimagining the Brothers Grimm fairy tale: transposing it to 1920s Andalusia, without dialogue and in sumptuous black and white.

An unclassifiable director who surprises us with every film, and whom we shall have the pleasure of welcoming at the next edition of the festival, taking place from 16 to 24 October in Montpellier.
