2013 PROFESSIONAL MEETINGS

As in 2012, the 35th Cinemed is organising professional meetings focused on several themes:

- The 23rd Development Aid Grant
Development aid for full length fiction features. The organisers of Cinemed have used this grant since 1991 for the promotion and development of projects by Mediterranean directors with or without a producer, thus supporting the cinematographic profession around the Mediterranean. Confirmed directors, having already made at least one fiction short, and who are from a Mediterranean country or from Portugal, the Black Sea and Armenia, and/or whose project is in a Mediterranean setting or expresses cultural features of the Mediterranean area may submit their project/s. For 2013 project selection, see Inscriptions. See Development Aid Grant for information as well.

- Seminars covering the specific features of production and distribution in the Mediterranean and North-South and South-North contributions and relations. A morning will be devoted to the presentation of funding bodies (public and private) and/or the editorial lines of distributors. Another will be spent on discussing the subject of distribution around the Mediterranean, with the participation of the members of the MEDIS Association which is to hold its General Assembly at the Corum during the Festival. These meetings and presentations are aimed at professionals in both the fiction and documentary sectors. They will completed by a Zoom on… (organised by Languedoc-Roussillon Cinéma).

More information soon.
