Julia, 65 years old, of jewish origin, gets ready to leave her native town, Istanbul, where she has nothing left, to rejoin her son and his family in Tel-Aviv.For Aviva, her eight year old grand-daughter, these are to be the last Summer holidays spent in Istanbul. Together, they share the last preparations, and the little girl understands how difficult it is for her grandmother to leave her home, her furniture, her town...Just half of an old painting, inherited from her father and shared between her sister and herself, stops her from definitively abandoning her past.
