Algiers, a few years after the civil war. Amal and Samir have decided to celebrate their twentieth wedding anniversary in restaurant. While on their way, they share their views on Algeria: Amal tells about lost illusions and Samir about the necessity to cope with them. At the same time, their son Frahim and his friends Feriel and Reda are wandering about in a hostile Algiers about to steal their youth.

Sofia Djama

Born in Oran, Sofia Djama studied literature and languagesin in Béjaia where she grew up. She worked as a copywriter for advertising agencies in Algiers. Passionate about writing, she wrote a series of short stories whose setting in Algiers. Her first short film was Les 100 Pas de Monsieur X (2011) within the framework of Trans-Maghreb, a video platform in Algiers launched by Katia Kameli. She directed a documentary, From Stone to Hard Rock within the framewok of the Greenhouse programm launched by Euromed Audiovisual. She then adapted for film and directed one of her short stories, Mollement, un samedi matin, a drama that received an award at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival and Cinemed 2012. Her first long feature film, Les Bienheureux world premiered at Venice's Mostra 2017.
