A young teacher’s identity becomes possessed by his dead grandfather, whom he never met and he is forced to choose between his Iraqi Jewish family identity, going on with his life as an Israeli, ignoring the past.


 
 
Aharon Shem Tov

Born in Israel in 1973, graduated of the Camera Obscura Film School. Director of the documentary Alinne and I (52 min), which was screened in 2004 in channel 2 in Israel and in international festivals. Since 2016 he teaches filmmaking in prison and developing a documentary series about education. Ana Min El Yahud is his first fiction film.

 
Niv Hachlili

Born in Israel in 1974, a Jerusalem based journalist, writer and director. A graduate of the Sam Spiegel school (screenwriting) and the international film lab. Co-writer of Sound of the Sea, feature film by Shai Carmeli Pollak, and of two documentaries, Holes by Shirly Berkovitz, and Lea Tsemel, advocate, by Rachel Leah Jones, broadcasted on channel 8.
