One Tuesday in a Beirut street, an old lady wearing an elegant black suit is stopped by a policeman who asks her to return to the shop that he has just left without paying her bill. But he finally takes her back to her home.


 
 
Sabine El Chamaa

Born in Beirut. Studies in communication and acting at Beirut University College. Completed her film studies at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Her film, Infinite Corridor (2005) garnered her a development grant in Montpellier 2004. She also participated in the first Sundance Screenwriter's lab in Jordan, the Sud-Ecriture lab in Tunisia, and the Mediterranean Films Crossing Borders at Cannes 2006. Her films: How beautiful is the sea, short fiction (2003), Black on White (animation, 2004) both selected in Montpellier, Crossroad Melancholy: Passages from a winter in Bosnia (documentary 2006). She took part in the Berlinale Talent Campus 2007. Promenade was selected in Montpellier in 2009.
