Nicolas works on his father's farm. The work is hard, life is tough and business is not going well, so Nicolas dreams of a different life. One day he agrees to give a woman (Maria) a ride. After he has dropped her off, he is more and more intrigued by his feelings for her. Nicolas' life takes different turns, and he meets Maria again.

François Dupeyron

Born in 1950, a graduate of IDHEC, he made his name with his first short films., Drôle d'endroit pour une rencontre (1988) was his first feature. Un cœur qui bat (1991) was followed by the thriller La Machine and then C'est quoi la vie ? (1994) with Eric Caravaca, with whom he worked again in 2001 with La Chambre des officiers. He has written the scripts of all his films and also co-authored Le Fils préféré with Nicole Garcia and Un pont entre deux rives for Gérard Depardieu. He worked on the adaptation of Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du Coran in 2002. He then focused on illegal immigration in Inguélézi and in 2008 made Aide-toi, le ciel t'aidera.
