The port of Sète. Monsieur Beiji, a tired sixty-year-old, drags his feet in the port shipyard, doing a job that has become hard over the years. A divorced father, he is going through a delicate period in his life. A feeling of failure has weighed on him for some time and he thinks he can only get over this by starting his own business, a restaurant. His family gradually becomes united behind this plan that has become for all of them the symbol of the quest for a better life.
