The eye slices the film rhythmically. The subliminal images perceived by both the character and the spectator do not seem to be controlled; they appear for an eye-blink and only longer when the character closes his eyes. We start to think that the character can control his visions as he perceives them and then we notice that imaginary is mixed with the real. Who sees who? Who is seen? He who believed he saw is seen.
