Mona's wedding day is the saddest day of her life. She knows that once she crosses the border between Israel and Syria to marry Syrian TV star Tallel, she will never be able to go back to her family in Majdal Shams, a Druze village in the Israeli occupied Golan Heights.


 
 
Eran Riklis

Born in Jerusalem in 1954. Graduated from the National Film School (England) in 1982, he also studied at the Tel Aviv University Film and TV Department (1975-77). His degree show film, On a clear day you can see Damas (1984) is a political thriller shot in London and Israel. Between 1983 and 1990, he directed more than 300 commercials, documentaries and short films. He also worked as cinematographer on several British and Israeli productions. He directed three full-length features : Cup Final (1991), Zohar (1993), Vulcan Junction (1999), Temptation (2002, TV), The Syrian Bride (2004) - its script won a development grant in Montpellier in 2002 -, The Lemon Tree (2008), The Human Resources Manager (2009), Zyatoun (2012). Dancing Arabs is his last feature film.
