Suzy, a young american, comes to Fribourg to study in a well-known danse academy. In the middle of the night, she finds the door closed, while a young student runs away, to be assasinated in terrifying circumstances. The following morning, Suzy is welcomed normally, and starts her term. But she is shortly taken ill, and confides her anguish to Sara, her roommate. On night, the academy is invaded by worms which exude through the walls. Later, Daniel, a blind pianist who had just been thrown out of the school, is assasinated by his own dog...

Dario Argento

Son of the producer Salvatore Argento and the photographer Elda Luxardo, he worked as a cinema critic and then a screenwriter. He worked on Once Upon a Time in the West. He made The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970), The Cat O'Nine Tails (1971) and Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1972).This trio made him the master of 'giallo'. Deep Red (1975) was followed by Suspiria (1977), his best-known film abroad. After making several films in the 1990s, including the terrifying Opera (1987), he made Trauma in the United States. This was followed by The Stendhal Syndrome (1996) shot in Italy and The Phantom of the Opera (1999). His recent films are Sleepless (2001), The Card Player (2004), Jenifer (2005), Pelts! (2006), The Mother of Tears (2007) and Giallo (2009).
