After a long night of work, Smaïn thinks of only one thing: sleep. But when the bed is in a room on the street on the third floor of a building in the centre of a Mediterranean city, Algiers in this case, well... Things become complicated for Smaïn. For sleep is a dream and waking up a nightmare.

Khaled Benaïssa

Born in 1978 in Annaba, Algeria. His childhood was steeped in the theatre, his father's art. After studying architecture, when he became passionate about scenes, scene setting and space, he was first attracted by acting. He played the leading role in the features El-manara by Belkacem Hadjadj and Douar de femmes by Mohamed Chouikh and also appeared in several short films. He wrote short films, asked people to read them and then, advised and encouraged by his elders, he made his first fiction short, Peur virtuelle, in January 2006, and then as part of a workshop, Babel in March 2006. Ils se sont tus is his latest film.
