A film by Man Ray leads to the story of a quest. The house near Biarritz where he shot the film was called Emak Bakia and the author decided to go to the place on foot. Only three sequences shot at the villa are known: an image of the front door, two window imposts and a fragment of the nearby coast. Searching using these images was not easy. There was nothing in the public records and nobody remembered the name of the house. This is why other informers - chance and wind - were called upon for help and collaboration.
