Following Slovenia’s accession to the European Union, the country’s economy has been severely disrupted and its citizens are paying the consequences. This is the case with Peter, who repairs machinery, and is now out of work. A father, he must overcome many problems brought about by such a situation : loss of self-confidence, loss of social status, financial dependence and marginalisation. Despite the precariousness of his circumstances, and the unlikelihood of finding work again, he tries to maintain his enthusiasm and joie de vivre, which, sadly however, does not last very long.
